A running list of what's shipped on GoalRush — fixes and new features, dated, so you can see the effort going in.

6 November 2026

  • •You can now change your name: ☰ → My settings → My details. It shows everywhere straight away, on leaderboards, results and Community.
  • •Organisers: once you've tapped 📣 Nudge them on Home, that league's reminder box closes, so your competitions move back to the top. It comes back for the next gameweek.

2 November 2026

  • •My Competitions: finished competitions and Last Man Standing games now move to a Completed tab automatically, so your list only shows what's still being played (nothing is deleted, and the final standings are one tap away). On Home, a finished competition stays for a week marked Final, then moves off. A finished competition also says so at the top of its own pages.
  • •My Competitions: Last Man Standing now has its own tab in the competition filter.
  • •Last Man Standing: making your pick is now a simple fixture list. Each match is shown as one line, home team on the left and away team on the right, grouped by kick-off time, so you can see straight away who every team is playing. Tap the team you want to win. Teams you've already won with are still greyed out in place.
  • •Fewer reminder emails: instead of one email for every competition you haven't finished, you now get one email listing everything you've still got to do, your predictions in each competition and your Last Man Standing pick. They come 24 hours before the first kick-off, at 9am on the day for evening kick-offs, and 4 hours before. If you're all done, you won't get one.

26 October 2026

  • •Last Man Standing: once you've won with every team, your list starts again and every team is available to you once more (the rules on each game page now say so). Gary's own picks are now based on analysis of each match, and he plans ahead, saving the strongest teams for the weeks they're most likely to win.
  • •Last Man Standing: once picks close, each round now shows why Gary picked his team (his win chance, what he predicted, the other side's recent form, and any big team he's saving for later), and your round alert tells you how Gary got on. If Gary's already out, he keeps picking for fun, so you can see whether he'd have survived.
  • •Tables now says what it is: the page is called League Tables (the official Premier League, Championship and other tables), and if you're signed in it shows up to three of your own GoalRush competitions with your position, one tap from each Leaderboard. In ☰ it's listed as League Tables.
  • •New badges for finishing at the top: when a competition with at least 8 active players is completed, the winner gets a gold Competition Winner badge and 2nd and 3rd get a silver Podium Finish badge. You'll see it beside their name on that competition's leaderboard, and on their page when you tap their name. GaryGoalRush isn't included, so the badges go to the top three players. The first ones are for GaryGoalRush: GW5-8.

  • •See who's on the move: leaderboards now show ▲ (green) or ▼ (red) beside each position with how many places a player has moved in the latest gameweek, and NEW for anyone who's just started. Your position on Home › My competitions shows it too, as do your results alerts.
  • •Easier to get around (thanks to a player for the idea): pages from ☰ now have "← Back" and, on your phone, an "Other pages" button that shows every ☰ page as one-tap buttons. On a computer they're in one row along the top of the page.
  • •Leaderboards: "Filter by gameweek" now only lists gameweeks that have results, so you'll no longer pick one and see an empty table. Champions League and Europa League weeks are shown as Matchday 1, 2, 3 and so on.
  • •Predictions tab: in competitions with Star Fixture, you can now see which match each player starred (⭐, or ⭐⭐⭐ for Triple Star), once that match has locked.
  • •For organisers: the Predictions tab now shows your own predictions first, then everyone else in A–Z order (tap a name to open their predictions), with a count of who's done and who's still to predict. A "Just me / Everyone" switch lets you see only your own, there's now one gameweek picker at the top, and each match is one tidy line with the score lined up on the right.
  • •Results: in Star Fixture leagues your own result box now shows ⭐ (or ⭐⭐⭐) on your starred match, with the doubled or tripled points, and the "all predictions" table shows each player's star in front of their score. The "Share picture" options now read "Picture: results only" and so on, to make clear they choose what goes in the picture.
  • •Star Fixture leagues: your predictions page now shows how many gameweeks you have left to use your Triple Star before it resets, and you'll get a reminder under 🔔 (and on your phone) if you've predicted but haven't picked your Star Fixture, plus a last-chance reminder in the final gameweek of each Triple Star window. Phone reminders follow your prediction-reminders switch in My settings › Alerts.

20 October 2026

  • •New: occasional tips. Now and then (never more than once a week) GoalRush will point out a feature you might not have tried yet, like sharing a picture of your league table or taking on Gary. They show under 🔔 and on your phone. Don't want them? Switch off "Tips & new features" in My settings › Alerts.
  • •Closed the Help us grow message? It's now always in the menu: ☰ › Help us grow 🙏 takes you to your invite link, Create a league and the Keep me posted by email button.

19 October 2026

  • •Buttons now show when they're working: tapping a poll answer, joining with a code, unblocking someone or managing co-organisers shows "Saving…" (or similar) and then a ✓ when it's done, so it's always clear your tap worked.
  • •Fairer for organisers who play in their own league: before a match locks, the organiser's Predictions tab now shows who has predicted (✓ Predicted), not their scores. Scores appear once the match locks, the same as for everyone else.
  • •New: invite your friends. My settings › Invite has your own personal link to share, and shows the players you've brought in. When a friend joins through it (or tells us you told them about GoalRush), you'll get a thank-you alert. Badges for bringing in players are on the way.
  • •GoalRush news by email is now easier to switch on: tap "Keep me posted" in the new Help us grow message, or tick the box when you sign up. It's still off unless you choose it, and you can change it any time in My settings › Alerts.

  • •Competition tabs now follow the gameweek: Overview, Fixtures, Predictions, Results, Leaderboard, then Players, Polls and Settings.
  • •On Home, tap "predictions to make" in your welcome box to go straight to them: the competition itself if only one needs predictions, or My Competitions (still-to-predict ones at the top) if several do.

13 October 2026

  • •New: your results, straight to you. When a gameweek is finished and scored you'll get one "GW results are in" alert with your points and where you stand in each of your leagues, starting with Gameweek 7. It appears under 🔔, and on your phone if you have the PlayGoalRush app and "Your results" is switched on in My settings → Alerts.
  • •A GoalRush first: Andrew Thompson is the first player ever to reach 100 points in a competition, in GaryGoalRush Allcomers on 10 October. He gets a special one-off gold badge (a flag on a summit) that nobody else can ever earn. You'll see it next to his name on the leaderboard.

9 October 2026

  • •Inviting friends from your phone: the invite link button now opens your phone's share options, so you can send it straight to WhatsApp, Messages or anywhere else. On a computer it still copies the link.
  • •New: favourite competitions. Tap ☆ next to any competition on Home or My Competitions to make it a favourite. Your favourites go to the top of every competition list. The rest follow one order everywhere: Premier League, then Champions League, then Europa League, with Gary's competitions first in each, then GoalRush's own, then private leagues, and anything you still need to predict at the top of each group.
  • •GoalRush has a new look in your browser tab and on your phone's home screen: the PLAY GoalRush badge, the same as the new PlayGoalRush app.
  • •Faster sign-in on iPhone: after you sign in with your email and PIN, your iPhone can offer to save them, then fill them in for you with Face ID next time. This works in the PlayGoalRush app and in Safari.

8 October 2026

  • •New: My settings (☰ → My settings, or the ⚙ on your notifications). Choose which alerts you get on your phone and by email: prediction reminders, your results, Gary's picks, replies to your posts, and (for organisers) the chase list. Everything is on to start with, apart from GoalRush news, which stays off unless you turn it on. Whatever you choose, it all still shows under 🔔.
  • •Your favourite team, national team and country now live under My settings → My details too, so you can change them whenever you like.
  • •Sharing a picture of your predictions or a league table now works in the PlayGoalRush app as well.
  • •New Privacy policy and Terms of use pages, in plain English: what we keep about you, who can see it, and the house rules. Find them at the bottom of every page, in the ☰ menu, and under My settings → Account.
  • •For organisers: you can now add co-organisers to help run your competition. Open your competition's Players page and use the new Organisers panel to add a player, hand over the main role, or remove someone. Until you add your own, GoalRush is your competition's second organiser.
  • •You can now delete your account yourself from My settings → Account. You'll see exactly what happens first. Your past predictions stay in the league tables as "Former player", so nobody else's position changes, and any competition you run is handed over rather than lost.
  • •Community: tap ⋯ on any post or reply to report it, or to block a player so you no longer see their posts. Reports go straight to the GoalRush team, and anything reported by several players is hidden while we check it. You can see and undo blocks under My settings → Account.
  • •Predicting in a GaryGoalRush competition first? After you save, you'll now be offered to copy the same predictions into your own leagues, the same way it already works the other way round. Your other GaryGoalRush competitions are still filled in automatically.
  • •For organisers: the reminder on your Home page now has a "📣 Nudge them" button. One tap sends everyone still to predict a notification (under 🔔, and on their phone if they use the app), telling them how many predictions they have left. You can nudge once per gameweek.

7 October 2026

  • •A new Home page after you sign in. Instead of showing just the last competition you visited, it now lists every competition you're in, with your position, points and how many of this gameweek's predictions you've made. Tap any of them to go straight in. Your Statistics now shows the right gameweek and rotates through your Premier League competitions, with your prediction progress built in.
  • •Share a gameweek as a picture: on the predictions screen, "📸 Share picture" makes one tidy image of all your predictions for the gameweek, ready for WhatsApp, Instagram or X. On Results you can share the gameweek's scores on their own, with your picks and points, or with Gary's.
  • •A better league table picture: "📸 Share table" on any Leaderboard now looks like the real table (position, played, exact, result, bonus and points). Choose the Top 10, the places around you, or the full table, which is shared as a set of pictures so nobody gets left out, and add your own row or Gary's.
  • •Your own predictions can be shared at any time. Other players' predictions, Gary's included, can only be shared once the gameweek has started, so nobody's picks get out early.
  • •For organisers: about 24 hours before each gameweek kicks off, you'll get an email listing anyone in your competition who still hasn't made their predictions, so you can give them a nudge. Your Home page shows the same from two days before kickoff, with a link straight to the full list. Nothing is sent if everyone's done.
  • •A new notifications bell (🔔) at the top of the page, next to the ☰ menu. A red number shows when you have something new; tap it to see all your GoalRush notifications in one place, newest first. Tap one to open it, or "Mark all read". Prediction reminders and other updates will start appearing here soon.

  • •Your GaryGoalRush competitions now keep each other up to date. A prediction you make in GaryGoalRush Allcomers is added to GaryGoalRush: GW5-8 for you, and the other way round, only between competitions of the same type (Premier League to Premier League, and so on). As before, a prediction you've typed in yourself is never overwritten. We've also filled in the gaps between the two for earlier and upcoming gameweeks, and updated the leaderboards to match.
  • •Easier getting around a competition: the Overview / Predictions / Leaderboard / Results / Fixtures / Players / Polls tabs now appear on every one of those pages, so you can hop straight from the Leaderboard to Results without going back each time. On a phone, swipe the tabs sideways; a green arrow shows when there are more.
  • •A tidier competition header on phones, with a smaller title and the sections in one swipeable row instead of seven big buttons.
  • •The same swipeable tabs replace the buttons that wrapped onto several lines on your dashboard's competition card, the #BeatGary tournament tabs and the My Competitions filter.
  • •On mobile, the top and bottom bars now show the same five shortcuts in the same order: Dashboard, Competitions, #BeatGary, Tables, Community. The full menu is still one tap away under ☰ at the top.
  • •League tables: choose a league from a simple dropdown instead of a long row of buttons, and the page now opens on the Premier League.
  • •Fixed: league tables were mixing in teams and points from previous seasons. They now show the current season only.

5 October 2026

  • •Your predictions now go into #BeatGary automatically. Whenever you make or change a prediction in one of your own leagues, the same score is added to your GaryGoalRush competitions for you, with no need to copy it across. Any prediction you've entered directly in GaryGoalRush is never overwritten.
  • •We've filled in GaryGoalRush predictions from earlier gameweeks where you'd already predicted the same match in one of your leagues, so your #BeatGary record now counts every game you've played. The GaryGoalRush leaderboards have been updated to match.
  • •The "Use these predictions elsewhere?" option after saving still lets you copy predictions between your own leagues as before. GaryGoalRush no longer appears in that list, because it now happens automatically.

  • •Added "GoalRush Live" to the homepage — a rolling feed showing what's actually happening on the platform right now: award winners, hot streaks, #BeatGary moments, exact scores, leaderboard climbs, and gameweek reminders, all mixed together and updating as each gameweek plays out.

  • •Champions League is now free to enter — every GoalRush player (current and future) is automatically in, the same as Europa League. No entry fee, no payment needed. Everyone, Gary included, starts fresh at zero.

  • •Competition leaderboards are now clickable — tap or click any player's name to see their points broken down gameweek by gameweek (completed, confirmed results only, never the actual predicted scores).
  • •Organisers can now permanently delete a competition they no longer need, from Settings → Danger Zone, with player and prediction counts shown before you confirm. GoalRush's own platform competitions (GaryGoalRush, Europa League, etc.) can't be deleted this way.
  • •Added Europa League, FA Cup, Conference League, EFL Cup and more to the Competition Type list when creating a new competition.
  • •Fixed: a Europa League competition's Overview page showing the wrong season underneath ("Premier League 2026/27"), and the same competition sometimes appearing under "Custom" instead of its real type on My Competitions.
  • •Tidied up the filter tabs (All / Premier League / Europa League, etc.) on My Competitions and Admin's All Competitions so they look consistent.
  • •When setting up a Champions League or Europa League-style competition, you can now clearly see and pre-select the Knockout stage even before it's been drawn, alongside Qualifying/Group Stage — and once a gameweek has started or predictions are in, the fixture selection locks to keep things fair.
  • •Organisers and admins can now see a quick list of who's still to predict for the current gameweek on the Review Predictions page — handy for chasing reminders. It only ever shows who's predicted, never what they predicted.
  • •The Review Predictions page now shows every fixture for a gameweek, including any a player hasn't predicted yet, and each player's section can now be collapsed to make scrolling through a big competition quicker.
  • •If you've still got picks left to make for the current gameweek, your competition dashboard now tells you exactly which fixtures they are, with a direct link to finish them off.
  • •An organiser's Competition Overview page now tells you straight away how many players still have predictions outstanding for the next gameweek — with names — and links straight through to chase them up.
  • •Your name now shows in the top bar on mobile, so it's always clear which account you're signed in as.

2 September 2026

  • •You can now sign in with a memorable 6-digit PIN instead of waiting for an emailed code every time. Next time you sign in, verify with your emailed code as usual and you'll be asked to set a PIN — after that, just enter your email and PIN. Forgotten it, or on a new device? The emailed code is always there as a fallback.
  • •Added Full table / Portrait / Landscape options to the shareable league table image, and it now matches the real Tables page layout properly.
  • •Reskinned the Predictions and Results pages to match the cleaner grouped-fixture look already on the Fixtures page — same visual language everywhere now.
  • •Launched the first in a new series of shorter, 4-gameweek #BeatGary competitions — GaryGoalRush: GW5-8 is live now, with every player already entered and everyone (Gary included) starting fresh at zero. You'll get an email a week before each new one starts.
  • •Fixed: gameweek reminder emails weren't reaching a few competitions (including Europa League) due to a missing setup step — reminders now cover every competition properly.

  • •Champions League and Europa League prediction competitions are here — both run the full tournament, group/league stage through every knockout round to the final. Every fixture is scored on the 90-minute result only; extra time and penalties never count, even for two-legged knockout ties.
  • •Europa League is free to enter and every GoalRush player — current and future — is automatically in it.
  • •Champions League costs £5 to enter, with the prize pool split between the top finishers and a share going towards running the competition. Look for the Champions League tile on your dashboard to pay and join.
  • •My Competitions now has filter tabs (Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, etc.) so the list stays easy to scan as you rack up more competitions.
  • •Fixed the poll banner on your dashboard only checking one of your competitions for open polls — it now checks all of them.
  • •Tidied up a handful of inconsistent buttons and back-links across the site.

  • •Added a second navigation bar on mobile, right at the top — your GoalRush home link plus one-tap buttons for Dashboard, #BeatGary, Tables and My Competitions.
  • •Fixed: the leaderboard at the bottom of a competition's Overview page always said "not available yet", even once results had come in. It now shows the real top 5 standings, with a link through to the full leaderboard.
  • •Added a quick prompt on your dashboard to pick your favourite Premier League team, favourite national team, and country — pick a few or skip it, up to you.
  • •Polls now actually get noticed — you'll see a highlighted banner on your dashboard whenever there's a poll waiting for your answer, and a new "Polls" tile in your Competition Hub.
  • •Sign-in codes are now 6 digits instead of 8.
  • •The invite code, link and QR code for a competition now also show on its main Overview page, not just the Players tab.
  • •Fixed: the Predictions, Fixtures and Enter Results gameweek pickers used to always default back to Gameweek 1, even once it had finished. They now default to the next gameweek that still needs attention.
  • •Added a Community board — ask a question, suggest an idea, or catch the latest update from the GoalRush team, with the ability to reply directly.

  • •Official league tables are live — Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, Scottish Premiership, Scottish Championship, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and the Champions/Europa/Conference League, all kept up to date automatically. Find them under "Tables".
  • •League tables now also show Home and Away form as separate views, not just the overall table.
  • •Fixed: a match in progress was showing as finished (with points already given out) using whatever the live score happened to be at that moment. Matches now show as "In Play" with the score updating live, and points aren't awarded until it's actually full time.
  • •Added polls — an organiser can now ask their competition a quick question ("Interested in a mid-season prize?") with tap-to-answer options, and see the results as they come in.
  • •The invite page now includes a QR code, so joining a competition is as easy as scanning it.
  • •GoalRush can now be added to your phone's home screen (look for "Add to Home Screen" in your browser menu) and opens full-screen like an app.
  • •Added a bottom navigation bar on mobile for quicker one-tap access to your dashboard, #BeatGary and Tables.
  • •The navigation inside a competition now clearly shows which page you're on.

22 August 2026

  • •See everyone's predictions once a match locks — and once it's played, see the points every player was awarded for it. Look for "See all predictions" under any locked fixture on the Fixtures or Results page, in every competition.
  • •The points breakdown on that new view now separates a correct result with a team's goals also right (3pts) from a correct result alone (2pts), instead of showing both the same way.
  • •Results and fixture updates now sync in automatically from our official data provider, rather than being entered by hand for every match.
  • •Fixed: a match result now updates every competition that includes it straight away, not just one.
  • •Fixed: the league table's Exact/Result/Bonus columns and Played column now reflect what actually happened, not what was predicted.
  • •Added a sort option (date joined, or name A-Z) to the Players list for competitions with a lot of members.
  • •Fixed: a prediction left half-filled-in (one score entered, the other blank) now tells you clearly which match needs finishing, instead of silently failing to save.

  • •Added automated reminder emails before a gameweek's predictions lock, if you've still got picks outstanding.
